Prerequisite: None Survey course designed to give students a broad introduction to the principles, practices and functions of businesses as they are practiced in both the national and global economies. Relevance will be provided through research and Internet projects and assignments. Topics to be covered include management, marketing, finance, investments, and various other areas such as international business, small business, and ethics. All BUS 101 students must take the English assessment test before enrolling. Students must bring their placement test report to the first class meeting. Attendance beyond the first class is subject to instructor approval. This course transfers to UNR as MGRS 101 and is acceptable as a business elective in the 2+2 program.
