Credit Hours: 5 Description: Exposes the student to American Sign Language. Readiness activities are conducted focusing on visual/receptive skills and basic communication. Utilizes the direct experience method. Students must complete this course with a 'B' or higher or pass the ASL proficiencytest with a score of at least 80% or better prior to registering for ASL 122 if planning to enroll in the Interpreter Preparation Program.
