Prerequisite: ASSET-Writing score of 38-42; or ACT-English score of 15-19; or successful completion of ENGL 03. This course is a transition into ENGL 111 for the student who has successfully completed ENGL 03 or for the student who needs to polish writing skills. Studies focus on understanding essays and other brief writings, composing organized paragraphs and essays, and illustrating coherent progression of thought. May be repeated. Lecture 3 hours per week.
