Prerequisites: ART 170, ART 190, ART 290 Focus on artwork creation and digital manipulation of photographic images Use of Macintosh computers, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop for familiarity with basic tools used in graphic design and digital imaging Includes design skills, including line, shape, form, volume, and color Projects focus on logo creation, image correction and adjustment, combining imagery, color correction, etc Discussion and demonstration of traditional printing technology (offset lithography) through class and field trips Review of legal issues related to digital imagery and freelance design
