(3 cr.) Examines the problems associated with aging including personality changes and reactions to internal and external stress. Covers specific intervention strategies which seek to rehabilitate and facilitate the adjustment of the aging client. Places emphasis on techniques for psychological problems associated with such factors as organic and general physical deterioration, metabolic disturbance and social isolation. Prerequisite MEN 101 or departmental permission. Lecture 3 hours per week.
