(3 cr.) Presents proper preventive maintenance and servicing principles, practices, and procedures used on heavy equipment. Requires lab preventive maintenance inspections and general servicing procedures as recommended by equipment manufacturers. Teaches proper pre- and post-operational inspections, and basic operation procedures of selected heavy equipment. Emphasizes the efficient and professional operation of a heavy equipment service facility. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.
