(3 cr.) Deals with the principles and applications of electrical controllers which serve as an introduction to automation, devices for differentation, integration and proportioning. Includes hardware and circuitry for AC and DC control devices as well as contactors, starters, speed controllers, time delays, limit switches, and pilot devices. Demonstrates applications in the control of industrial equipment motors, servo units, and motor-driven actuators. Prerequisite ELE 211 or equivalent. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.
