Prerequisite: MFL 1113. This course is a continuation of MFL 1113 with continued emphasis upon reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills with the goal of developing the student's ability to express his/her own ideas, and to interact with others meaningfully and for real-life purposes. This course emphasizes frequently used vocabulary and presents grammar as a tool for effective communication. This course enables the student to attain an understanding and appreciation of the culture of France and other French-speaking countries. Grade determination is based on class participation, completion of assignments and class projects, periodic daily quizzes, unit tests, and the final exam. Three hours of lecture per week. Credit, three semester hours.
