This course is designed to introduce the non-science major to the basic concepts of chemistry and earth science. Topics will include the atomic nucleus and radioactivity, chemistry, physical and historical geology, and meteorology. The student will demonstrate a knowledge of these topics through periodic objective and subjective testing, outside reading, research, and class discussion pertaining to lecture topics.
