Co-requisite: BIO 1123. This course, intended for non-science majors, continues the teaching of basic laboratory skills, field procedure, classification, scientific measurement, and methodology. After completion of this course, the student will be able to use specific laboratory equipment and analyze problems of biological importance concerning classification and natural history of the animal kingdom. Plant classification, ecology, economic biology, and environmental problems are also covered. Students are evaluated by weekly lab exams, individual lab work, and a comprehensive final exam.
