Hours: 3 Course ID: 004187 A review of basic inorganic chemistry and organic chemistry principles and types of instrumentation commonly used in a medical laboratory are taught. Also included is the study of carbohydrates, non-protein nitrogen compounds, proteins, lipids and enzymes as related to clinical diagnosis. In addition, the student will be introduced to quality control procedures, including statistical calculations for graph preparation and interpretation of gathered data. Prerequisite: CLT 101 and admission into the CLT program or permission of the CLT Clinical Coordinator or CLT Program Director. Component: Laboratory, Lecture
