Hours: 4 Course ID: 003787 Presents the principles and techniques of therapeutic procedures used in respiratory care, including safe handling and administration of medical gases, uses of humidity, aerosol therapy, lung inflation techniques bronchial hygiene therapy and airway care. Presents indications, contraindications, and physiologic effects of each therapy with emphasis on safety and appropriateness of care. Prerequisite: (BIO 137 and (MT 110 or MT 145 or MT 150 or equivalent) with a grade of C or better) Prerequisite or Corequisite: (BIO 137 and (MT 110 or MT 145 or MT 150 or equivalent).
