3 class hours Emphasis will be placed on creating a language-learning environment that encourages the learner to develop an interest in reading, math, and science. Experiences will include development of learning centers for reading, math and science and selection and presentation of age-appropriate reading, math and science materials. Students will learn how to encourage and enhance both verbal and nonverbal skills by creating an interactive and communication-rich environment that uses the multiple intelligences. The environment will be filled with oral, graphic, and written resources.
