			3 class hours This course describes the scope of managerial work and discusses the roles and responsibilities of a supervisor. The student recognizes the strengths of a supervisor such as technical competence, individual energy, and the ability to get along with and to motivate others. Other pertinent and current topics that are covered are human relations skills, developing positive assertiveness, effective team building, sexual harassment, staffing, training, ethics in business, and conflict resolution.
