Hours: 3 Course ID: 000852 Basic principles of chemical process unit operations are studied. Fundamentals of fluid flow and measurement of process variables will be stressed. Elementary laws of fluid transport are presented as well as practical aspects of piping components and designs. Additionally, fluid flow equipment and principles involving pipes pumps, valves and measurement will be explored. Lecture material corresponds to laboratory applications. Lecture: 2 hours; Laboratory: 2 hours. Prerequisite: ICT 185, MA 108, and corequisite CHE 104 or CHE105 or consent of instructor. Component: Laboratory, Lecture
