Hours: 1 Course ID: 004653 Introduction to the theory of robots including terminology, components, and basic programming. Provides laboratory application of servo and non-servo robots. Topics include robot types, controllers, manipulators and basic robotic programming. Provides the basic operation of flexible and computer-integrated manufacturing and control systems. The student will learn how to develop and set up work cells and integrate the work cells into a total computer-integrated manufacturing system. Safety is an integral part of the program. Prerequisite: Consent of Instructor. Corequisite: ENGT 260. Laboratory: 1 credit (30 contact hours). Component: Laboratory
