A study of selected aspects of inorganic, organic, and biochemistry, including the chemistry of metals and nonmetals, introduction to organic functional group chemistry, proteins, nucleic acids, and lipids. Lecture: 3 hours; Laboratory: 3 hours per week. Not open to students who have already completed CHE 105 and 107. Not recommended for students seeking careers in medicine, science, dentistry engineering, veterinary science, agricultural sciences, education, or allied fields for which the recommended sequence is CHE 105-107-115.
