This course examines the role and function of human resources management in organizations. Major areas studied include trends in human resource management; human resource planning and utilization; job analysis and work design; employee recruitment, selection, and training; compensation and benefits; and managing the performance of people in a global environment. The course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required by both human resource specialists and line managers. Prerequisite: MGT 210. 3 semester hours
