History 2314 is the second half of a two-semester survey of the History of England. The course will explore English civilizations from the beginning of the eighteenth century to the beginning of the twenty-first century, focusing on Britain's politics, culture, society and economy. Special attention will also be paid to the peoples of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the British Empire. Sophomore standing recommended. Three class hours per week. Credit: Three semester hours.
