Prerequisite: ENGL 1102 with a 'C' or betterThis course will offer fi lm viewings and analysis within individual national traditions. Readings in Film History and Theory will be used to illuminate selected fi lms from a national tradition (French, German, Spanish, Latin America, Japanese, etc.). All fi lms have subtitles and all readings are in English. No knowledge of the foreign language(s) in question is necessary. Course may be repeated for credit with a different subject.
