Prerequisites: ENGL 1101, 1102, and 2300; admission to the TEP; permission of instructor; fi eld experience forms, and background check. This compulsory course, taught by English Department faculty, unites theory and practice to produce sound pedagogical strategies for the teaching of English. In it, teachers- in-training will learn refi ned instructional strategies and deepen their understanding of the foundations from which such approaches develop. As a result, they will begin to fashion teaching selves through recursive discussion, concentrated research, analytical writing, repeated fi eld observation, and practical implementation.
