Prerequisite: Middle grades majors only This class is designed for the non-art major in middle grades education. The focus of the course will be on the development of lessons that encourage creative thinking through discipline-based art education that is developmentally appropriate. Methods in art education include exploration of a variety of studio processes, as well as approaches to art history, art criticism, and aesthetics. Interdisciplinary approaches to art education will be explored at the middle grades level.
