Prerequisite: ANTH 1102 or consent of instructor This course offers a broad introduction to issues of social organization and social differentiation. It will examine various theories in assessing the nature of social order and disorder. Kinship, marriage, ethnicity, and class will be among the topics studied as factors of organization. Consideration of age and aging will be given special emphasis in the latter portion of the course.
