CB 4008015103 This is a survey course for students who want a basic descriptive introduction to physics. Topics covered include the metric system; linear and circular motion; forces; work; energy; properties of matter; temperature; heat; thermal expansion; oscillations; sound; light; waves; electricity and magnetism; and atomic and nuclear physics. It is designated for non-science majors. Fall and Spring. Prerequisites: 12th grade reading level and eligibility for ENGL 1301 and MATH 1314.
