Course Description: A health-related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional. The student will be required to complete a comprehensive examination with a satisfactory score prior to completion of this course (refer to the course syllabus). Key Concepts: This course introduces the student with clinical concepts for the care of adult clients and their families with multiple complex disorders in a structured setting. There is an emphasis on the application of the nursing process. The nurse has the opportunity to analyze and integrate the role as provider and manager of care. The nurse also integrates the concepts of decision making in relationship to the coordination of client care. The nurse evaluates his/her role as a member of the profession. The student is provided with the opportunity to apply theoretical concepts learned in RNSG 2331. Prerequisites: COSC 1300, RNSG 1146, RNSG 2201, RNSG 2208, RNSG 2260, RNSG 2213, RNSG 2261. Concurrent with RNSG 2207. Prior or concurrent with 3 Hours Humanities/Fine Arts Course. **This is a capstone experience.
