CB 4001015103 This course is the same as GEOL 1401. PHYS 1417 is a survey of the natural process at work in the atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere of Earth's place in the universe. It is designed to introduce students to astronomy, geology, oceanography and meteorology. It is required for elementary education certification for students transferring to TAMIU. It may also fulfill four of the 8 or 12 hours of science requirements for some degree plans (check with your advisor and/or college of transfer). It is not for students majoring or minoring in science. Fall and Spring. Prerequisites: 12th grade reading level and eligibility for ENGL 1301 and MATH 1314.
