Medical office procedures including appointment scheduling, medical records creation and maintenance, phone communications, financial processes, coding, billing, collecting, third party reimbursement, credit arrangements, and computer use in the medical office. Learning Outcomes: Demonstrate accurate and efficient scheduling of patient appointments; create, document, and maintain patient medical records; correlate accurate coding, billing, collecting, and filing of procedures; perform financial processes; and use the computer for basic office functions. Prerequisites: ITSC 1409, MDCA 1313, MDCA 1409 and/or Co-requisites: MRMT 1307 and MDCA 1443.
