This course will provide instruction on the history of the Harmonized System of classifying commodities world-wide, and how the different nations agreed on this method to expedite the classification process. Topics will include: general rules used in interpretation of the codes, discussion on the different schedules and import tariffs, and the discussion of the different sets, accessories, and parts to the coding system.
