Assessment and management of patients with cardiac emergencies. Includes basic dysrhythmia interpretation, recognition of 12-lead EKGs for field diagnosis, and electrical and pharmacological interventions. Learning Outcomes: At the completion of this module, the student will be able to integrate pathophysiological principles and assessment findings to formulate a field impression; and implement a treatment plan for the cardiac patient. Prerequisites: EMSP 1338, EMSP 1263, EMSP 1355, EMSP 1356, and HPRS 2300; Co-requisite: BIOL 2401.
