A method of instruction providing detailed education, training and work-based experience, and direct patient care, generally at a clinical site. The student will apply theory, concepts and skills involving specialized materials, equipment, procedures, regulations, laws, and interactions within and among political, economic, environmental, social, and legal systems associated with emergency medical services; demonstrate legal and ethical behavior, safety practices, interpersonal and teamwork skills, communicating in the applicable language of emergency medical services. Prerequisites: proof of CPR for Health Care Providers, documentation of required immunizations, current EMT/Basic certification. Concurrent enrollment in EMSP 1438, 1456, and 1455 required.
