A detailed study of the knowledge and skills necessary to reach competence in the assessment and management of patients with traumatic injuries. At the completion of this module, the student will be able to integrate the pathophysiololgical principles and assessment findings to formulate a field impression; and implement the treatment plan for the trauma patient. Prerequisites: proof of CPR for Health Care Providers, current EMT/Basic certification. Concurrent enrollment in EMSP 1438, 1456, and 1361 required.
