A detailed study of the knowledge and skills necessary to reach competence in the assessment and management of patients with cardiac emergencies. At the completion of this module, the student will be able to integrate the pathophysiological principles and assessment findings to formulate a field impression; and implement the treatment plan for the cardiac patient. Prerequisites: proof of CPR for Health Care Providers, current EMT/Basic certification, completion of EMSP 1361, 1438, 1455, and 1456 with a grade of "C" or better. Concurrent enrollment in EMSP 2430, 2434, 2143, and 2462 required.
