Introduction to the help desk industry. Basic levels of help desk administration, service and support. Examination of problem solving, customer service, and communication skills needed in the help desk environment through interactive laboratory, team, and classroom discussions/simulations. Psychology of telephone interaction. Telephone etiquette and professionalism. Diagnosis and solution of user hardware and software related problems with on the job projects. Prerequisites: ITNW 1325, and BCIS 2316 (RM).
