In this course students will participate in experiments and view specimens and models that correlate with and illustrate the topics presented in the lecture portion of the course. Topics include the microscope, cell structure and function, enzymes, cellular respiration, photosynthesis, cell reproduction, human genetics, DNA and biotechnology, mechanisms in evolution, sampling ecosystems, and symbiosis.
