A continuation of CHEM 1311, this second semester course sequence involves the general study of inorganic chemistry including fundamental concepts, thermodynamics, kinetics, chemical equilibrium, descriptive chemistry of the main group and transition metal elements, acids and bases, colligative properties, electrochemistry and oxidation-reduction reactions. Organic chemistry is introduced. Prerequisite. CHEM 1311 and CHEM 1111. Concurrent enrollment in CHEM 1112 is mandatory. (RM)
