The course will introduce students to significant trends in Spanish American literature from colonial times to the present and will acquaint students with the major social, historical, and literary influences on the development of that literature, with an emphasis on teaching students to read critically and develop their analytical writing ability. Conducted in Spanish. Prerequisite: Spanish 2002 with a minimum grade of C, or by permission of the instructor.
