This course provides students with a thorough examination of two important theories that have been influential both in understanding personality development and in the practice of psychotherapy: psychoanalytic and existential theories. Both theories will be studied in depth and the student will read primary sources for some of the major theorists, including Freud and Yalom. Prerequisite(s): PSYC 1101, PSYC 2103, and either PSYC 3120 or PSYC 3520.
