This course is designed to provide a working knowledge of Spanish for personnel in the healthcare industry by reviewing basic Spanish grammatical structures, emphasizing medical terminology (semi-technical vocabulary and idiomatic expressions used by patients and doctors), and anatomy. The acquisition and comprehension of medical terminology will enable students to communicate with patients and co-workers at a basic level. Conducted in Spanish. Prerequisite: Spanish 2002 with a minimum grade of C, or by permission of the instructor.
