This course is to stimulate students to think about major issues related to professional practice in human services and to challenge students to formulate positions on these issues. Students will become familiar with the various ethics codes and develop an ability to apply these codes to a variety of specific problem situations. The course also examines ethical and legal standards, risk management, professional credentialing, and standards for the helping profession. Prerequisite(s): PSYC 1101.
