Survey of music history from the pre-classic era through the Classic and Romantic periods. Offered each Fall. Major program outcomes: student will be expected to develop an understanding of musical forms and processes in their historical contexts, and be able to place the music studied in historical, cultural and stylistic context. University-wide outcomes: develops skills in oral communication, critical thinking. Prerequisite(s): MUSC 2011.
