An advanced study and application of principles of effective spoken communication skills in a variety of business and other professional settings, focusing on persuasive public speaking and group dynamics. As part of the communication process, listening competence is included as a skill of professional speaking, in the contexts of both large audiences and collaborative work teams. The strategic uses of multimedia presentational aids will also be emphasized. Prerequisite(s): COMM 1110 (C) or permission of the Department of Communicative Arts and Integrative Studies; ENGL 1102 (C).
