This course provides the student with the procedures necessary to conduct online research via Internet search engines and electronic library databases. Practical applications are utilized to assist the novice user in authenticating author credentials and/or articles and journals applicable within any field of undergraduate research. A few course objectives are: understanding the ethical responsibility with plagiarism, and the use of Boolean expressions and library databases to conduct research. Completion of MTMC 1170 and MTMC 1172 are recommended but not required.
