Fundamentals of Writing I is a course in basic writing skills at the sentence and paragraph levels. This course includes instruction in basic grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, and other necessary skills leading to the proper construction of a paragraph. This is a required course for students who have scored below 200 on the writing section of the THEA or below 35 on the ASSET and a 2 or 3 on the writing section. Offered at C&I locations and Service Area Campuses that do not have a lab facility.
