Fall Semester An overview of the various techniques and strategies of marketing in the sport environment. Areas to be covered include the processes of the sport marketing planning model, the segmentation process, the identification of target markets, data base and relationship marketing, the major concepts of sport marketing and the development of the sport marketing mix and sponsorship packages. Prerequisites: SPM201, IFS100 or IFS105, and MKT200 with a grade of 2 or higher. Prerequisite: Sport Management majors only or with permission of the instructor. 3 credit hours.
