Students in this course will have the opportunity to read, analyze, and discuss the works of some of the greatest thinkers who have influenced the modern age. While the focus will necessarily be on the works themselves, an important objective of the course will be to explore the mutually reinforcing relationship which exists between the world of ideas and the events which surround them. 3 credit hours. Satisfies ADR II.
