Spring Semester The study and research of the theoretical, philosophical and historical bases of rhetorical theory from the ancient Greeks and Romans through the present day. Emphasis will be placed on rhetoric as a practical art (public address) and as scholarly pursuit (rhetorical criticism). Students will evaluate contemporary speeches applying developed skills. 3 credit hours.
