Fall-Spring Semesters This course is an introduction to the principles and procedures underlying effective assessment, evaluation and measurement of learning. Included will be commercial and teacher-constructed instruments, statistical treatment and interpretation of test scores and relevant procedures for appraising and reporting student progress. The course will deal with the establishment of cooperative assessment processes and how they can be fully integrated into every aspect of the curriculum. Assessment and evaluation as a decision-making process will also be emphasized. Prerequisite: PPES 3 credit hours.
