Spring Semester This course examines the ways through which police services are delivered to communities. The underlying philosophies guiding police service delivery and specific strategies will be discussed and assessed by examining recent empirical research studies. Attention will be paid to contemporary law enforcement reforms such as community policing, zero-tolerance policing, and problem-oriented policing and how these reforms are translated into police practice. Prerequisite: CJA101. 3 credit hours.
