Fall Semesters This course is designed to help prepare future public relations managers to plan for and to manage communications for organizations during a crisis. Topics include: defining and identifying types of crises, developing communications plans for crises, defining and understanding the roles of risk management and issues management, and learning techniques for managing communications before, during, and after a crisis event. Students will develop a crisis communication plan. Prerequisite: CM415 3 credit hours.
