Introduces the world of derivative securities -- futures, forward contracts, options and swaps. Analyzes in detail the relationship between different types of derivative securities and the underlying values of stocks, bonds, interest and exchange rates. Studies valuation processes and trading practices. The organic parts of the course are the extensive practical exercises dealing with construction and execution of derivative contracts. Prerequisites: ECON:105, or ECON:201 and ECON:202, Statistics. 4 SH.
